《戰火回憶錄：前進 30 高地》是由發生在第二次世界大戰真實故事改編而成的遊戲，玩家將扮演美國一○一空降師五○二空降團 F 連三排三班班長 Matt Baker 中士，在遊戲裡帶領弟兄參與幾場從 D 日開始的戰鬥，《戰火回憶錄：前進 30 高地》將戰場氣氛刻劃得相當逼真，在這款遊戲裡強調的是團隊合作，而不是單槍匹馬的衝鋒陷陣，如果玩家不能有效的指揮弟兄們作戰的話，恐怕很難在敵軍炮火下生存，《戰火回憶錄：前進 30 高地》在美國還得到美國海外戰爭退伍軍人協會（Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation ）的背書，因為該協會認為藉由這款遊戲將能讓後人對那些在二次世界大戰中壯烈犧牲的老兵他們所作的貢獻有更多的認知與了解。
