  她生於遼寧，長於澳門，受教於香港，在中西文化的夾縫中成長與求索。取得香港大學英文及比較文學專業碩士學位後，她遠赴倫敦進修。在那裡，她找到了電影，從此再沒停下腳步。
　　師承胡金銓，處女作開辟香港電影新浪潮；於商業與藝術、 類型與文藝之間遊走，不斷探索自己和這座城市的漂泊狀態；六奪金像 三斬金馬，仍要為投資犯難發愁；從早年獲獎無數到跌入谷底，從不放棄忠於創作的機會。
　　美術指導文念中首執導筒，回顧許鞍華四十余載光影生涯，零距離捕捉她親和地道、 急躁論盡的真性情，亦看到她與母親的感情牽絆。
　　對電影和香港始終壹片赤誠， 電影伴她活出了人生的圓滿。
