約翰大衛華盛頓飾演的主角參與壹場俄羅斯歌劇院的臥底行動，在那場行動中，他發覺間諜戰的戰場不再只限於現在，更在未來，他為國際間諜組織效力，要找到引起第三次世界大戰的商人安德烈薩托(肯尼斯布萊納 飾演)，熟悉進入時間「逆轉」的領域，阻止世界毀滅。
